Important news about HackSpace

We have some important news to share about HackSpace: Issue 81 was the last issue of HackSpace as a standalone magazine, and HackSpace has become part of The MagPi, the official Raspberry Pi magazine. Starting with issue 145, We’ll be adding pages to The MagPi to make room for the stories and tutorials you’ve come to expect from HackSpace.

Reuse Cans for Cards

In preparation for Valentine’s Day tomorrow, we’ve been cutting these little hearts out of soda cans. It’s surprisingly easy to cut the aluminium and with a vinyl cutter you can create intricate shapes. Instructions are available here.

For more projects with drinks cans head to issue 20, where Mayank Sharma discovered it’s possible to use them to build a popcorn maker, lampshade and miniature stove. Issue 20 is available as a free download from hackspace.raspberrypi.org/issues/20.
