Colourful LED Cubes

By Poppy Mosbacher. Posted

Building an LED cube is a popular challenge for electronics enthusiasts. Neeraj Rane has shared the process of making this colourful version using RGB LEDs and an Arduino Nano. It uses a custom printed circuit board to hold the LEDs in place and a 3D printed enclosure to hide all the components inside.

Another way to make a cube is to start with LED matrix displays. John (aka KiwiGrinder) shares a method here. It uses a mercury switch so you can turn it on by tilting the device.

Have you taken on the challenge and made your own cube? If you have any tips, let us know in the comments below.
